Manitou Springs

Spent some time sketching in Manitou Springs. Two 60 degree days in a row 5 days before Christmas, gotta love Colorado weather. I really wanted to get a combination of architecture and mountains in my sketches. The buildings in Manitou have a lot of character and age, they remind me of Gloucester in a way. The houses are built in and around the mountains so most of them are uniquely adapted to the terrain. I will probably be exploring Manitou Springs more in the future but for now here are 3 sketches on mdf panels.
