"Railways and Rocky Neck"

Worked on this piece at the same time as the Pratty’s piece, so I tried the same experiment, added touches of color to the sky and street only. Painting the boatyards is tough sometimes, because you may go back and the boats are in a different spot completely, changing the whole composition. This along with the Pratty’s painting had such strong drawings that I didn’t have it in me to paint in all the colors and ruin my linework. Many renditions have been done of the Marine Railways by hundreds of artists, here is my first one. I have since, gone back and done another full color piece from a different angle, stay tuned.
